For the second year in a row Glendale Lodge 12 of the Fraternal Order of Police coordinated an effort to help the local West Valley Food Bank increase their supply of turkeys for the holiday season.
Members of the Lodge executive board set up a collection point in front of the Glendale Police Station where they took in 130 frozen turkeys as well as other non-perishable food items which were donated to the food bank to help the less fortunate. The majority of the donations came from sworn and civilian employees of the Glendale Police Department. Other donations were made by City of Glendale employees and citizens. |
